Recipe #6 Hake with yogurt
And despite the fact that most of the recipes so far did not yield much of a success, somehow, we still did not lose hope or enthusiasm. Mostly because we promised to make one recipe every week for 100 weeks and although now it seems that it was a mistake, we can not give up on week 5. So, without any further ado, let us present you another recipe which most of the cats will not like. At least this will show you what not to prepare for your cats. (Unless you have a cat like Tito who, literally, liked everything we prepared so far. Feral cats and stray cats will of course love it, but I guess this goes without saying.)
The time required to get it done is about 15 minutes!
Here is what we need:
- 1-2 hake fillets (with skin and bones removed)
- 1/4 cup of olive oil
- 1 cup of yogurt
Poach the hake fillets for 10 minutes.
Tito was really impatient…
Cool it off and serve yogurt over the cooked hake. Add some olive oil too.
And now, ladies and gentlemen, the moment of truth. How did the jury of five vote? (If you’d like to know more about our jury of five, please see the post with the first recipe, we introduced our jury here ->)
So, here are the votes:
Poofah: “You know, in soccer, there is a yellow card. You got your yellow card last week. Tell me, what’s stopping me to give you second yellow card. And you know what THAT means. ” (For those of you who are not acquainted with the rules off soccer, second yellow card equals red card and red card basically expels the player from the game.)”
“Last time I promised to leave this project and the jury if you don’t get better. Now, I am not sure what am I still here…”
Myratz: “This meal is an insult. And no just to me but to our species. Except for Tito. But I am beginning to have some doubts about Tito being a cat anyway.”
Tito: “Yeah!” short silence “Yeah! Yeah! Gimme more of this!”
Pierre: “I still love you. Even if you are making the tasteless food, I still love you. My love for you is as big as a universe.”
Since each vote of the jury members has the same “weight” we will calculate the average. Total stars given was 9 divided by 5, well, average is 1,8.
We will try to forget about this recipe too. The good thing, like the last time, is that you can always eat the hake with yogurt yourself 🙂 As a matter of fact we are thinking about renaming this challenge to “100 recipes for food you can eat but your cat(s) will probably not like” or something like that.
The working title of the next recipe is: Cheesy snacks Until then, stay well!
